About Me

What made you want to become a health care provider or what is your earliest memory of wanting to be one?

For as long as I can remember, I've always been an empathetic and compassionate person. My Father is a Scientist, and I also grew up with a predilection for the Sciences. Medicine allows me to combine my interests in Science and taking care of people.

What do you love most about your specialty? / Why did you choose your specialty?

I chose Rehabilitation medicine because I enjoy helping people recover after a major illness, trauma, or neurologic injury. Physiatrist's also work closely with other medical specialists like Therapists, and I greatly enjoy working in teams. After completing my cancer rehab fellowship, I saw how pain greatly affects people and decided to do a pain fellowship to understand and treat pain more effectively.

How do you connect with your patients?

I treat my patients like I'd want my Mother or Father treated. I like to smile, and always try to keep a positive and compassionate attitude.

What are your interests outside of the office (hobbies, activities)?

My favorite past time is spending time with friends and family, which could mean simply watching TV, or going out for a meal, as I really enjoy food. I also enjoy staying active, yoga, weightlifting, meditation and reading.

What is your advice for your patients?

The best medicine is prevention. I encourage my patients  to stay active, eat well, and manage stress.
