About Me

What made you want to become a health care provider or what is your earliest memory of wanting to be one?

As a child, I didn’t know I wanted to be in the medical field right away. I dreamed of being a teacher, a Broadway star, an actress on Disney Channel, and many more career pathways. It is powerful to dream; however, once in school, I developed a love for science and enjoyed learning about how amazing our bodies are. I was also inspired by my pediatrician and wanted to be a role model like her for my patients.

What do you love most about your specialty? / Why did you choose your specialty?

In my opinion, children are the best age group to care for, educate and also learn from! Every pediatric rotation I had made me realize how much I love my job and the fulfillment I receive to educate children on how to be happier and healthier individuals.

How do you connect with your patients?

The best way I connect with my patients is by listening. Most patients and people you meet just want to be heard and seen. I enjoy talking about their hobbies, interests, and exciting events happening in their lives! I think it is important for children to feel empowered, special, and cared for.

What are your interests outside of the office (hobbies, activities)?

I enjoy singing, exercising (walks, hikes, Zumba), going to Broadway shows, trying new recipes, and enjoying time with my family and friends.

What is your advice for your patients?

Learn about your body and all the amazing things it does for you! Listen to those who go out of their way to show you they care! Trust your gut.
