What made you want to become a health care provider or what is your earliest memory of wanting to be one?

Two of my older brothers are physicians and I was always inspired by them.

What do you love most about your specialty? / Why did you choose your specialty?

I love to take care of acutely ill patients in hospital settings. During my Internal Medicine training, I always enjoyed working in the hospital.

How do you connect with your patients?

I introduce myself as my patient's PCP in the hospital and tell them that I work with their PCP at the office. I briefly summarize the clinical history then talk to them about their current hospitalization. I call their families to update them about the treatment and clinical course during their stay at the hospital.

What are your interests outside of the office (hobbies, activities)?

Playing with my six year old son is what I enjoy the most when I'm off. I also play soccer.

What is your advice for your patients?

Prevention is better and easier than cure.
