About Me

What made you want to become a health care provider or what is your earliest memory of wanting to be one?

When you help patients, you impact not just the present individual/generation but all the future generations. This is direct when you have the honor of saving a life because you preserve all future generations which arise from that individual. This is indirect when you have the privilege of improving someone's quality of life through treatment because they will continue to have the opportunity to do good towards countless individuals.

What do you love most about your specialty? / Why did you choose your specialty?

I like the exquisite interplay- between evidence-based guidelines and imagination of new therapies and techniques in the face of complex, intellectually stimulating challenges; both the technical and cognitive dimensions, and quick thinking during acute, life-threatening clinical situations, and forming meaningful, long-term, personal relationships with patients.

How do you connect with your patients?

I like to connect through listening and asking questions. I want to know about a patient's disease process and who they are as a person.

What are your interests outside of the office (hobbies, activities)?

I like to spend time with my family and in the community.

What is your advice for your patients?

You need to find the motivation and willpower to make the positive changes in your life that we know you need. In this regard, becoming and staying healthy is, in many ways, a spiritual journey.
