About Me

What made you want to become a health care provider or what is your earliest memory of wanting to be one?

As a kid, I had an adorable doctor set and would always say I wanted to be a doctor (or astronaut depending on the day). However, the goal became more real in high school when I tore my ACL and really got to experience healthcare past routine physicals/colds. In addition, when my cousin got leukemia, I became fascinated with all things medical.

What do you love most about your specialty? / Why did you choose your specialty?

The variety, I love seeing something different with each patient.

How do you connect with your patients?

Talking. I am pretty good at finding some sort of middle ground. I've always been good at small talk to try and find that "one thing", then I can dive in and build some more trust/connection.

What are your interests outside of the office (hobbies, activities)?

Exercising (gym/hiking), being outside, church, cooking/baking especially for family/friends, and spending time with family.

What is your advice for your patients?

Try something (re: colds, broken ribs, anxiety, etc.) If it doesn't work, that's okay, you can try something else. If it does work, then you just helped yourself (in a weird way, this definitely relates to all aspects of life).
