About Me
What made you want to become a health care provider or what is your earliest memory of wanting to be one?
I’ve always been drawn to the idea of healing—not just the body, but the person as a whole. One of my earliest memories is watching my grandfather recover from heart failure and seeing how much trust my family placed in his doctor. That moment stayed with me. I knew I wanted to be someone who could offer that kind of reassurance, expertise, and hope to others during their most vulnerable times.
What do you love most about your specialty? / Why did you choose your specialty?
Cardiology is more than a specialty, it’s a calling. The heart is central to life, and when it’s not working properly, everything else is affected. What I love most is the opportunity to make a real difference, often in critical moments. Whether it’s helping someone recover from a heart attack or guiding them through prevention, I’m honored to walk alongside my patients through every stage of their journey.
How do you connect with your patients?
I connect by listening, truly listening. Every patient brings not just symptoms, but fears, hopes, and a story that deserves to be heard. I make it a priority to understand what matters most to them, and to build trust through empathy, transparency, and respect. My goal is to make each person feel safe, supported, and never alone in their care.
What are your interests outside of the office (hobbies, activities)?
Soccer, Travel
What is your advice for your patients?
Your heart is at the center of everything you do, every breath, every step, every emotion. Caring for it isn’t just about avoiding disease; it’s about living fully and vibrantly.
I encourage my patients to embrace heart health as a daily practice. Start with movement: aim for at least 150 minutes of moderate exercise each week. That could be brisk walking, swimming, cycling, or dancing—whatever brings you joy. Add in strength training twice a week to build endurance and support your cardiovascular system. Even short bursts of activity, like taking the stairs or walking during lunch, make a difference.
When it comes to food, think color, balance, and simplicity. Fill your plate with fresh fruits and vegetables, whole grains, and lean proteins like fish, legumes, and nuts. Choose healthy fats—olive oil, avocado, flaxseed—and limit added sugars and salt. The Mediterranean and DASH diets are excellent models for heart-friendly eating.
And most importantly, be kind to yourself. Progress is not perfection. Small, consistent changes lead to lasting results. Your heart is resilient, and with the right care, it can carry you through a long, healthy life. I’m here to guide you every step of the way.
