About Me
What made you want to become a health care provider or what is your earliest memory of wanting to be one?
It is incredibly rewarding to make a meaningful difference in people’s lives, especially during their most vulnerable moments. I’ve always loved combining scientific knowledge of how the body works with creativity to help patients recover function and return to the activities that matter most to them.
What do you love most about your specialty? / Why did you choose your specialty?
Although I began my career working with children and older adults in various settings, my heart has always belonged to hand and upper‑extremity rehabilitation. I loved studying kinesiology, anatomy, and neuroscience in school. Being able to apply that knowledge to help patients heal from injuries or regain use of their hands and arms is both challenging and incredibly fulfilling.
How do you connect with your patients?
I take time to listen carefully and understand each patient’s story—what led to their condition, what their goals are, and what matters most in their daily life. I tailor every treatment plan to their profession, lifestyle, interests, and personal priorities so care feels meaningful and individualized.
What are your interests outside of the office (hobbies, activities)?
I love spending time outdoors, especially hiking in the Poconos with my two English Labradors. I enjoy training for at least one half‑marathon each year, and I also spend time photographing nature with my digital camera. At home, I find relaxation in caring for my many houseplants and gardening.
What is your advice for your patients?
Love, listen to, and take care of your body and mind. Recovery works best when you take an active role in the process. It’s not always about “no pain, no gain”—it’s about paying attention to what your body is telling you and finding the most effective ways to reduce pain and restore function.
